Trattasi della versione dell' LP Boxe che sarebbe dovuto uscire nel 1987 per la IRA con la produzione di Mauro Sabbione ex Matia Bazar, caratterizzato dall'utilizzo prevalente dell'elettronica (synth e drum machine).
Boxe uscirà invece nel 1988 per la Diaframma rec. in stile punk-wave, suonato da soli strumenti elettrici.

Finally available as a double CD, this collection is dedicated to Endless Nostalgia, one of the cult-band par excellence of the Italian electronic New Wave of the Eighties. Better known for the single "Me & My Alter Ego" released in 1984, this electro-pop duo from Verona, Northern Italy, produced a large number of cassette releases that have become very sought-after items nowadays. This generous and well-structured collection is a testament to the quality of the formation that was centered on Luca Rigato (Bi Nostalgia), an author whose inspired melancholic vein of composition was gifted with a postmodern crooner voice and an enviable pop sensibility. The thirty-seven tracks on this reissue were recorded between 1982 and 1989 and constitute a valuable anthology that collects a few unreleased pieces, the two songs from the 12” published by Anemic Music (IRA Records) and completely remastered material taken from the following cassette releases: "Two Days of Light", "Memories In Heaven", “Lost" and "The Art of Nothing". The "Endless Nostalgia" of an Italian way to music that had nothing to envy to the international scene; electronic rhythms and harmonious melodies, simple dreamy songs that were never ordinary, easy and immediate music arranged with a superb mastery.

dedicata agli Endless Nostalgia, una delle cult-band per
eccellenza della New Wave elettronica Italiana degli Anni
Ottanta. Conosciuto ai più per il singolo "Me & My Alter
Ego" del 1984, il duo elettropop veronese produsse un
nutrito numero di cassette ormai diventate introvabili,
nonostante alcune siano state oggetto all'epoca di una
distribuzione tutt'altro che esigua. Questa raccolta,
generosa e articolata, testimonia le qualità della
formazione che ruotava intorno a Luca Rigato (Bi Nostalgia),
vena compositiva malinconica ma ispirata, autore pop senza
riserve, voce da crooner postmoderno. I trentasette brani
contenuti in questa ristampa sono stati registrati tra il
1982 e il 1989 e costituiscono un'antologia preziosa che,
oltre a riproporre i brani contenuti nel 12" pubblicato da
Anemic Music (IRA Records), pesca a piene mani dai master
originali di "Two Days of Light", "Memories In
Heaven", Lost" e "The Art of Nothing", proponendo
anche alcuni inediti. "Nostalgia senza fine" di una
scena musicale italiana che nulla aveva da invidiare a
quelle straniere, elettronica addolcita da melodie armoniose
e ritmi sognanti, brani di facile ascolto ma mai banali;
musica semplice ed immediata arrangiata con superba
maestria.

Another due reissue of valuable New Wave materials “Made In Italy” that stretches around thirty-seven tracks contained on a double CD. Bi Nostalgia was the solo project of Luca Rigato, already part of the duo Endless Nostalgia. Composed and recorded between 1984 and 1987 (with the addition of one more recent unreleased track), all songs have been completely remastered from the original master tapes of "Anthems for Losers", "Dances of the Pessimism", "The Seeping Mouth”, “Cathedrals EP","Art Is Not Much" and "Philokalia", all published on Bi Nostalgia’s own label The League of the Gloomers. These tracks introduce the listener to the author's innermost world – a convinced exponent of a “losers aesthetics” but also a skilled craftsman maker of detailed soundscapes of great density and abstraction – that confront himself with his reference points: ambient music in general and the European / American serialist composers. Touching new age fascinations, refined sonorities, epic atmospheres and elementary compositive structures. A finely crafted visionary pop music, enhanced by arrangements that give to the compositions a seductive sense of lightness and purity.

contenute in questo doppio CD. Bi Nostalgia era il progetto

Composti e registrati tra il 1984 e il 1987 (con
l'aggiunta di un inedito più recente) tutti i brani sono
stati completamente rimasterizzati partendo dai master
originali delle cassette "Anthems for Losers", "Dances of

Is Not Much" e "Philokalia", tutte pubblicate sulla propria
etichetta The League of the Gloomers. I brani del Rigato

soundscapes di grande densità e astrazione - che si

il suono ambient e la musica seriale americana ed europea

Sonorità ricercate, atmosfere epiche e strutture
compositive elementari quanto efficaci. Un pop visionario di
pregiata fattura, valorizzato da arrangiamenti che donano
alle composizioni un seducente senso di leggerezza e una
purezza disinvoltamente originale.

BI NOSTALGIA - Shadowland

Non sono mai stato un chitarrista, ma quando ho inciso l'introduzione di questo brano per "Art is NOT much", mi sono sentito per un attimo un guitar-hero. Liberamente ispirato a vari ascolti 4AD del periodo.

ENDLESS NOSTALGIA - Life without cushons

Una canzone nata una sera d'Inverno, da un nastro sviluppato dopo l'ascolto dei Racconti Mezzanotte di Radio Tre, dal quale saliva minaccioso un "imputridita" trattato in camera d'eco.
Poi, La batteria dimessa, una chitarra con effetto flanger tipico del periodo, un cantato distante e lugubro.
Davide con un giro di basso, in stato di grazia. Il titolo deriva da un periodo d'insonnia.
E' una versione ENDLESS della corrente dark. Life without cushons, apriva i concerti dell'estate successiva, 1985.

A song was born one night in Winter, from a tape developed after listening to Radio Tre's Racconti di Mezzanotte.
Then, the battery discharged, a guitar with a flanger effect typical of the period, a distant and sang lugubro.
David with a bass, in a state of grace. The title comes from a period of insomnia.
